winter sky surrounded by pacific northwest pines flames flicker and fade flying in an airplane wandering through ice caves here we go again packing up all the boxes another house in another state another school and job to navigate but we've got each other we've got each other we've got each other like the sky has the earth like the planets have the universe we are together time is moving by, stop and look around awhile we're getting old, or so we're told but no matter where we go we've got each other we've got each other we've got each other like the sky has the earth like the planets have the universe we are together darling don't you forget life is full of disappointments unexpected news dark valleys and avenues but in the midst of it constant holy magic carries you through to mountaintop views we've got each other we've got each other we've got each other we've got each other like the sky has the earth like the planets have the universe we are together

two am towns on fire flames rising higher and higher who knew you'd come to build it back up from the ground this town'll love you all your life it'll love you long after you're gone rolling hills, a big pink sky acres that you walk on long after you're gone years come, years go watching the children grow quietly leaving a legacy she and you and all you've been through this town'll love you all your life it'll love you long after you're gone rolling hills, a big pink sky acres that you walk on long after you're gone she'll love you all your life she'll love you long after she's gone and when you drive, when you cry over memories she'll love on long after she's gone

Scary Close 03:05
where did you come from i've always been here seems like i've known you for awhile maybe so, but don't go thinking that you know me i'm not saying that i do but time as a way of showing layers and now you're scary close in the interior i'm exposed just let me play my part get my cue strike the set come and go steal the show not in the script, but write it: love it worth the risk so true intimacy means getting to know me takes a long season of cultivating you say it's an acquired taste and the harvest is worth the wait most things good for us are not easy and now you're scary close in the interior i'm exposed just let me play my part get my cue strike the set come and go steal the show not in the script, but write it: love it worth the risk where did you come from i've always been here seems like i've known you for awhile and now we're scary close in the interiors and exposed and i will give my heart stay honest plant a seed sow and reap fight the apathy not of the world, but we're in it and love is worth the risk it's all worth the risk

mid-august says empty all that's been a new normal begins this story unfolds and we can't pretend but i'm thankful to call you friend i'm thankful to call you friend san francisco skies came as a new life i've yet to head west but i know a piece of what it's like it's been brought to me here after twenty-five years and it's a good book read with a scenic view on a windowsill in the middle of july always listening and similar in hearts yet many miles apart when i'm looking for a light you're never not casting a glow a different kind of welcome home you're a new kind of welcome home san francisco skies came as a new life i've yet to head west but i know a piece of what it's like it's been brought to me here after twenty-five years and it's a good book read with a scenic view on a windowsill in the middle of july

Zion 03:32
i started driving south on fifteen tried too hard for too long going down one way streets and these mountains slowly changing the wildflowers are saying you can't drown what grows i can't go back to zion parts of me are dying there i can't give what you're needing so i'm leaving trying to reason so don't look for me there we had it all, guitars and views no guarantees, just honesty seems to be all we knew do you ever miss this stolen kisses now every time i think about it only says keep on i can't go back to zion parts of me are dying there i can't give what you're needing so i'm leaving trying to reason so don't look for me there i loved you at the terminal through the car door window on the front porch on the kitchen floor standing at a cliff edge did you mean what you said will it ever make sense i can't go back to zion parts of me are dying there i can't go back to zion parts of me are dying there i can't give what you're needing so i'm leaving trying to reason so don't look for me there so don't look for me there i can't go back i can't go back i can't go back

Wide Awake 03:23
in an old house on a big hill in a sunroom tell them i'm doing fine i just don't know how to love but i see you in the sky i see you in my mother's eyes it's pretty like a dream but i'm wide awake in a white room on the third floor with a heartbeat we're unsteady tell them i'm not here, i can't be but i see you while i write i see you when i cry at night i don't have to know what to say and i see you now and then i see you in the garden it's pretty like a dream but i'm wide awake here i am thinking: do i believe enough? do i believe at all? here i am thinking: do i believe enough? do i believe at all? but i see you when i sing and i can hear you listening it's pretty like a dream but i'm wide awake i'm wide awake

about

the COVID-19 crisis has definitely brought to light one thing: we need each other. we've seen the small but mighty ways that community, strangers, friends, family, have come together (at a safe distance) in spite of this really difficult season. we wholeheartedly believe music as a universal language, has power to bring hope & peace.

we extend this hope & peace to you in this time, by way of this 6-track EP. till we meet again and can high-five & hug each other.

thank you for being on this journey with us. we're in it together.
with love,
caitlyn & ben
